Facebook was founded in 2004 and Facebook Pages launched shortly thereafter in 2007. In the ensuing decade Facebook has changed a lot. The number of active Facebook users has increased from under 100 million to almost 2 billion and the number of business using Facebook as a marketing platform has increased drastically as well. During this time the way Facebook Pages have operated has changed too. When they first launched in 2007 Facebook Page Admins could expect their posts to reach almost all of their fans. But as the number of Pages and amount of content being shared has increased, this organic reach has declined.
